Companion ads enable you to create a more integrated viewer experience that can increase brand awareness and drive conversions. This is accomplished by rendering a companion ad in a view you provide.

After a companion ad is rendered, it remains visible until one of two conditions is met:

• A new companion ad of the same size is rendered.

• The VAST video ad ends.

When a companion ad is rendered, the player registers the `companion` event containing an array of `JWAdCompanion` objects.

• If you want to remove the companion ads at a certain time, you can always clear the host view subviews.

• The companion ad _resource_ and _creative event_ tracking pixels are not available while using Google IMA as ad client.
